Updating Your Profile Settings

Your personal profile in When I Work allows you to change your password, set a profile image, set your personal information, and configure your preferences.

Accessing your profile

  1. If you’re not already logged in to When I Work, go to https://app.wheniwork.com and sign in.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click the silhouette, then select My Profile.

Changing your password

Click Change Password, then enter a new password.

Updating your profile picture

Click Upload Picture to set or change your profile picture.

Changing your first and last name

Edit your First Name and Last Name. Click Save when you’re finished.

Updating your contact information

Set your Email Address and Mobile Number. Click Save when you’re finished.

Setting your sleep preferences

If you don’t want to receive SMS notifications during a specific period of time, set a start and end time under Sleep Preferences. Click Save when you’re finished.

Sleep Preferences Apply to SMS Only

Email and mobile app push notifications are still sent during your sleep hours.

Changing the time zone

If you work in a different time zone than your employer, you can set the Timezone to translate your schedule to your local time. Click Save when you’re finished.

Keeping your contact information private

If you don’t want your coworkers to see your contact information, click Privacy to move the toggle to the on position. Click Save when you’re finished.

Setting your preferred hours

If you’d like to work a certain number of hours per week, set your Preferred Hours. Click Save when you’re finished.

Your employer has the option to disable this option. Also note that your employer can choose to schedule more hours than your stated preference.

Setting alert preferences

When I Work sends you alerts to make sure you stay informed about what’s going on. For example, you can receive an alert when the schedule is updated or you have an upcoming shift. Set your alert preferences to make sure you’re notified in the right place at the right time.
