Considerations

Clock-in restriction settings are account-wide, however, managers and admins can clock themselves or other users in at any time regardless of attendance settings.

Adjust time-based clock-in restrictions

By default, employees and supervisors can clock in no more than 15 minutes early for their shifts. Users with admin or manager level access can adjust the restriction in the Attendance Settings.

  2. Near the top of the screen, use the How Early Can Employees And Supervisors Clock In for a Shift menu to select how early they can clock in for a shift.
    • If you want to prevent employees and supervisors from clocking in before their shifts begin, select 0 mins before, 5 mins before15 mins before, or 30 mins before.
    • If you want to allow employees and supervisors to clock in at any time, select Anytime.
  3. Click Save in the top-right corner of the screen.
