Clocking In and Out From a Time Clock Terminal

Overview

A time clock terminal is a device at your workplace that is used solely for clocking in and out. If your employer has set up a terminal on a computer, perform these steps to clock in and out.

If your employer has set up a terminal on a different type of device, follow our steps for a terminal set up on an iPad/iPhone or Android device.

Clock in

  1. Enter your employee ID or email address.
    Enter user ID
  2. Tap Right arrow button.
  3. If you’re not currently scheduled for a shift and you’re qualified to work more than one position, select the position you’ll be working from the list.

  4. Tap Clock In.

Recording your unpaid breaks

You can track your unpaid breaks while you’re clocked in. These breaks are also called lunch breaks. Check with your manager to find out if you should record your breaks in When I Work.

Starting an unpaid break

You must be clocked in to start an unpaid break.

  1. Enter your employee ID or email address.
  2. Tap Start Lunch Break. If your shift has an unpaid break entered, the length of your scheduled break appears.

Ending an unpaid break

  1. Enter your employee ID or email address.
  2. Tap End Break. The length of your break appears.

Clock out

  1. Enter your employee ID or email address.
    Enter user ID
  2. Tap Right arrow button.
  3. Tap Clock Out.
