Enable Log In with Two-Step Verification

Overview

Two-step verification adds a second layer of security to your account by requiring another method of verification beyond your initial password.

This article covers enabling two-step verification on your iOS device. You can also enable and log in with two-step verification on your computer or Android device.

Before you begin

Enable two-step verification using an authenticator app

  1. Tap More More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Profile Settings.
  3. Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.Edit profile
  4. Tap Enable in the Two-Step Verification field.Enable two step
  5. Tap Authenticator App. (If you haven’t already, install an authenticator app.)Authenticator appAuthenticator App choices
  6. Tap Next, then tap Copy Key.Copy Key
  7. Navigate to your authenticator app, create an account and paste the key in the key field. Complete the authenticator app setup.
  8. Copy the authentication code, then navigate back to the When I Work mobile app.
  9. Paste the authentication code, then tap Next.Paste code
  10. A success message is displayed when two-step verification is enabled. Tap Copy Codes and paste them into an email to send to yourself for backup purposes.Recovery codes
  11. Tap Done to complete the setup.

Enable two-step verification using SMS text messaging

  1. Tap More More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Profile Settings.
  3. Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.Edit profile
  4. Tap Enable in the Two-Step Verification field.Enable two step
  5. Tap SMS (Text Message).sms text
  6. Enter your mobile phone number, then tap Next.mobile number
  7. Enter the authentication code that was sent to you via text, then tap Next.sms auth code
  8. A success message is displayed when two-step verification is enabled. Tap Copy Codes and paste them into an email to send to yourself for backup purposes.Recovery codes
  9. Tap Done to complete the setup.
