Overview
Tags provide a way to define custom shift qualifications that cannot be easily captured by position alone. Think of tags like additional eligibility requirements that you can layer on top of positions.
For example, tags can capture requirements like:

Certifications
-
Preferred status
-
Tenure/seniority
-
Skill subsets not reflected in the position

Degree
-
Geographic location

The following is just one example of how tags can work alongside shifts to designate extra requirements.

Once you’ve created your tags, you can assign those tags to users, shifts, and shift templates in any combination to ensure that shifts are matched to the correct users.
You can also create and manage tags on your Computer and Android device.
Considerations
- You must have supervisor, manager or admin level access to create a tag.
- Tags are not visible to employees.
- When a shift has tags assigned, an employee must be assigned all tags present in the shift to be eligible to take it.
Add a tag
- From the When I Work Staff Scheduling app, tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Tags.
- Tap .
- Enter a name for your tag.
- Tap Save to finish.
Edit a tag
- From the When I Work Staff Scheduling app, tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Tags.
- Tap the tag you want to edit.
- Tap Edit.
- Edit the tag.
- Tap Save to finish.
Delete a tag
- From the When I Work Staff Scheduling app, tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Tags.
- Tap the tag you want to delete.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Delete Tag.
- Tap Delete to confirm the deletion.
