Configure Two-Step Verification

Overview

Two-step verification adds a second layer of security to your account by requiring another method of verification beyond your initial password. This article covers configuring two-step verification on your iOS device.

You can also configure two-step verification on your computer or Android device.

Considerations

Change verification method

  1. Tap  More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Profile Settings.Profile settings
  3. Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.Edit button
  4. Tap Configure in the Two-Step Verification field.Configure button
  5. Tap Change Verification Method, then tap Continue.Change method buttonConfirm change
  6. Follow instructions to enable two-step verification in your chosen method.

Regenerate recovery codes

  1. Tap  More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Profile Settings.Profile settings
  3. Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.Edit button
  4. Tap Configure in the Two-Step Verification field.Configure button
  5. Tap Regenerate Recovery Codes, then tap Continue.Confirm code regen
  6. Tap Copy Codes and paste them into an email to send to yourself for backup purposes.Recovery codes
  7. Tap Done.

Disable two-step verification

  1. Tap  More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Profile Settings.Profile settings
  3. Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.Edit button
  4. Tap Configure in the Two-Step Verification field.Configure button
  5. Tap Disable Two-step Verification.Disable button
  6. Tap Disable.Confirm disable button
