Overview
Two-step verification adds a second layer of security to your account by requiring another method of verification beyond your initial password. This article covers configuring two-step verification on your computer.
You can also configure two-step verification on your iOS device or Android device.
Considerations
- If you have a smartphone, When I Work recommends using an Authenticator App to configure two-step verification. When I Work recommends Authy, LastPass, or Google Authenticator.
- If you do not have a smartphone, When I Work recommends SMS text verification to set up two-step verification.
- Two-step verification is an opt-in feature.
Change verification method
Hover over your name, then select Profile & Settings.
- Click the Configure Two-Step Verification.
- Click Change Two-Step Verification Method, then click Continue.
- Follow instructions to enable two-step verification in your chosen method.
Regenerate recovery codes
Hover over your name, then select Profile & Settings.
- Click the Configure Two-Step Verification.
- Click Regenerate Recovery Codes, then click Continue.
- Click Copy Codes and paste them into an email to send to yourself for backup purposes.
- Click Done.
Disable two-step verification
Hover over your name, then select Profile & Settings.
- Click the Configure Two-Step Verification.
- Click Disable Two-step Verification.
- Click Disable.
