Overview

Processing absences allows you to review the absence or find coverage for the shift. You can also process absences from a Computer or Android device.

Steps

  1. From the When I Work Staff Scheduling app, tap More at the bottom.
  2. Tap Absences.
  3. Tap the Absence you want to review or find a replacement for.
  4. (Optional) Tap Get Shift Covered (A). If the Absence needs to be deleted, tap the on the top right (B).
  5. You can either Create a Drop Request (A) or Move to OpenShift (B). If you tap Move to OpenShift, the shift is instantly moved and can be picked up by any eligible user.
  6. If you tap Create a Drop Request, you can select which users get the request.
    a. (Optional) Add a message to the users being offered the shift.
    b. Select or deselect users to offer the shift to.
    c. Tap Offer Shift and the shift will become visible to the selected users.
    d. Tap Cancel to cancel the drop request.
