Reviewing and Editing Your Timesheet

Overview

If you use When I Work to clock in and out, review your timesheet to see how many hours you’ve worked during a pay period. You can also edit your timesheet if your employer has chosen to allow it.

You can also review and edit your timesheet from your computer, iPhone, or iPad. If you’re a supervisor, manager, or admin, follow our instructions to review employee timesheets instead.

Considerations

  • Your employer controls whether you can edit your timesheet.
  • We added timesheet editing in When I Work Scheduling app version 4.3. If your employer allows editing but you still don’t have the option to edit, update the app to the latest version.

Reviewing Your Timesheet

  1. From the When I Work Scheduling app, tap Time Sheets.
  2. Tap the pay period that you want to view.
  3. You’ll see the hours and times you worked on each day. At the bottom will be the total for all entries in the pay period.

Editing Your Timesheet

You can edit your timesheet if your employer allows it and the pay period is still open.

  • Pay periods with an open circle can be edited.
  • Pay periods with a filled circle cannot be edited.

Add a Timesheet Entry

  1. From your timesheet, tap Plus button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  2. Select the correct time entry details. A Date, Clock-In Time, and Schedule are required to save the entry. Optionally, you can add a Clock-Out Time, Position, Job Site, and Notes.
  3. When you’re finished, tap Checkmark button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Edit a Timesheet Entry

  1. From your timesheet, tap the timesheet entry that you’d like to change.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, tap Pencil button.
  3. Make the changes to the timesheet entry.
  4. When you’re finished, tap Checkmark button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Delete a Timesheet Entry

Please note this action cannot be undone.

  1. On your timesheet, tap the entry that you’d like to delete.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, tap Trash button.
  3. If you’re sure, tap Delete to confirm.
