Hire by When I Work makes hiring new employees easy by streamlining the process from start to finish. You can create and share job postings, track applicants, and hire employees all in one place.
Things to know before you begin
When I Work offers a free version of the Hire service in addition to the paid Hire service. Learn more about the differences between the free and paid service here.
- From your computer, use a supported web browser to sign in to When I Work.
- Click Hire Hire on the toolbar.
Job postings board
Create, share and manage your postings from the Job Postings board.

|The schedule where the job takes place.|
|How many applicants have applied. Click the applicant number to view applicants.|
|Control which postings display on your public postings page.|
|Delete, share and edit the posting.|
|Click to view active postings on your public postings page.|

Applicant tracking board
After creating Job Postings, view the applicants for a posting and move them through the stages of the hiring process. Click the number in the Applicants column on your Job Posting board to navigate to the applicant tracking board.
There are four columns in the applicant tracking board for different stages of the hiring process.

Frequently asked questions
Where did my job posting go?
If you do not interact with your job posting in Hire within 30 days of posting it is deactivated. To make sure your posts stay active, open the Hire component of When I Work at any time.
