Editing an Employee’s Availability

Overview

Availability preferences let you know when an employee prefers to work. You might need to edit an employee’s availability yourself if the employee communicates preferences to you outside of When I Work.

You can also edit an employee’s availability preferences from your computer.

Things to know before you begin

Steps

  1. From the When I Work Staff Scheduling app, tap More icon More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Employees.
  3. Tap the employee for whom you want to edit availability preferences.
  4. At the bottom of the screen, tap Availability.Employee detailsThe availability screen appears.

Based on the version of availability that you have, follow our instructions to set preferences for the employee.

Why Are There Two Versions of Availability?

New availability

If you see a screen similar to the following image, your account uses new availability.

Availability calendar

Follow our instructions to set availability preferences for the employee.

Legacy availability

If you see a screen similar to the following image, your account uses legacy availability.
