Overview

If your workplace allows mobile clock in, you can clock in and out from the When I Work Scheduling app on your Android phone. You can also clock in and out from your iPhone.

Things to know before you begin

  • Your employer has the option to require that you clock in no more than 5, 15, or 30 minutes early.
  • Your employer has the option to require that you clock in within a specific distance of the location or job site where your shift is scheduled.

Clocking in

  1. From the When I Work Scheduling app, tap Clock In on the Dashboard.Android dashboard clock in
  2. Complete any additional prompts.

Recording your unpaid breaks

You can track your unpaid breaks while you’re clocked in. These breaks are also called lunch breaks. Check with your manager to find out if you should record your breaks in When I Work.

Starting an unpaid break

You must be clocked in to start an unpaid break.

  1. From the When I Work Scheduling app, tap Take Lunch on the Dashboard.
  2. Tap Start Lunch to confirm.

Ending an unpaid break

  1. From the When I Work Scheduling app, tap End Lunch on the Dashboard.
  2. Tap End Lunch to confirm.

Clocking out

  1. From the When I Work Scheduling app, tap Clock Out on the Dashboard.Android clock out
  2. (Optional) Add a note for your employer.
  3. Tap Clock Out.
